IRB SEVEN-A-SIDE COACHING MANUAL

CONCLUSION

This is the end of the first edition of the IRB Seven-a-Side Coaching Manual, however, as new material becomes available further editions will follow adding new content and modifying what is already contained.

indeed the end product could be a series of manuals at three levels duplicating the IRB courses for fifteen-a-side.

This will be to no avail unless the content is systematically applied to the "raw material" that the practising coach has to work with.

Written material, principles, key factors, patterns and tactics are only of value if they are of assistance to the practising coach, the team and the individual players within it.

This will result in an improvement in sevens play and in time what will practically emerge will be further content for other coaches to use as the Game progresses.

This first effort provides a first step, a foundation upon which improvements in Seven's Rugby can proceed.
