About the Seven de la Republica

The Seven de la Republica is a rugby sevens tournament organized by the Argentine Rugby Union (UAR) and featuring teams from the country's regional rugby unions.
It is considered the most important rugby sevens tournament in Argentina.
The tournament began in 1981, and from 1986 onwards, teams from other countries in the region, such as Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay, began participating as guests.
Since 1988, the tournament has been held at El Plumazo, home of Club Atletico Estudiantes in Parana, Entre Rios. Because of this, the tournament is also known as the Parana Sevens.
